The cross drops out of the sky and there's no time to think — you strike it first time. Pick your corner, then time the strike as the ball falls into your zone. Catch it sweet and it flies past the keeper; snatch at it and you skew it wide. Rack up the volleys, but three fluffed strikes ends the session.

Sometimes you just spot the keeper off the line and let fly from distance. Line up the moving sight on the top corner, then bury the power — too soft and the keeper claws it away, off target and it sails wide. Beat the keeper from range as long as you can; five misses and you're done.

The keeper's seen you clean through and comes charging off his line. Cheeky finish time — dink it over him the moment he commits. Chip too soon and he backpedals to claw it down; leave it too late and he smothers it at your feet. Read his rush and lift it into the empty net. Three fluffs and the chance is gone.

Whip it into the danger zone. First bend the delivery — stop the swinging aim over the run of your striker — then time the header as the ball drops onto them. Get both right and it's a bullet header past the keeper. Waste five corners and the set-piece routine is done.

The cross is floating in — this is all about timing your leap. Watch the ball drop toward your striker and tap the moment it hits the strike zone to power a header goalward. Meet it clean and it rockets into the corner; mistime the jump and you head thin air. Fluff three and the chance is gone.
